Video Commerce Service

What is Video Commerce

Video commerce is transacting from a video using Internet (IP) communications. The video can be downloaded and played or streamed to the viewer. Either way the video contains clickable links which can open up a web page or a transaction process. A typical video commerce application would involve a video which contains a number of clickable objects so that the viewer can click on any of those objects for further information or to purchase them. Video commerce can take place over any Internet-enabled communications device – a Personal Computer, a laptop, a PDA, a mobile phone etc.

Video commerce content delivery systems have been developed specifically for providing video interaction in a secondary window and in turn maybe displayed on any secondary device to avoid disruption to a primary video display. Future devices designed specifically for video commerce have been developed that enable interaction on a secondary wireless display. Video delivered over Broadband or IPTV is a very likely replacement for Cable Company provided video content. Video delivered over standard Broadband presents many hybrid capabilities that combine internet functionality with video.

The future digital home revolves around these capabilities and is a major force that’s changing the advertising and entertainment industries.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Video Commerce

There is a direct relationship between ample, available bandwidth and an overall high-quality experience. Consumers who have adopted high-speed Internet access like DSL (digital subscriber line) and other broadband access are naturally more pleased with the experience of streamed video content. The results are far less favourable when consumers connect to the Internet via 28.8kbps or 56kbps modem and access content without the high bandwidth. Clearly, bandwidth can make or break the streaming media experience.

What we do for you

We will install the software onto your web site, create the links to your information and track objects in your video, we will then add interactivity by allocating ecommerce features, actions, chapters, text tracks, timed triggered events, metrics and more... The content can then be streamed from your web site, shared over P2P networks and tie into any database, e-commerce backend or search engine.

We will also submit your web commerce video to various related sites and search engines.

Please note: This service does not include the filming and recording of your video conference. If you require this service, please speak to our designers who can help you in sourcing video conferencing recording companies.
