- Tracks the status of your link building campaign.
Step 1: Setting Up
Wordtracker has easy and clean interfaces, which will make it easier when setting up
You can research multiple URLs in lots of different countries.
Step 2: Prospecting with Competitors
An example of using the Historic Index and the Fresh index is:
- The older or bigger the link profiles of the URLs, the more likely you will use the Fresh index to avoid more dead links.
- If the site is well known you are likely to be going to use the Fresh Index.
- You would use the Historic Index for smaller link profiles.
You could use the Fresh Index to cut down on dead links.
Step 3: Working with analysis
Wordtracker automatically removes image links, redirects and no-follow links. This is to keep it as targeted as possible.
Here is a results search page:

On the right it shows where the link originated from. The number in the middle is a measure of how important that particular prospect may be.
Step 4: Working with Contacts
The contact tab has the same toolbar as the analysis tab expect for:
- Find contact and about links – click on the links you want to find contact information about or the about page.
This is the list of contacts to you. When a contact request comes back, you will see this here. There is a new field within the contact tab that denote the contact /about pages for the prospect:
